Delia Elford NUPE delegate and Martin Cooney organiser met with Rowanne Bowden IDSS HR on August 7 in Nelson to get an update on the status of our sleepover talks.
As we reported to the members’ meeting at Braemar later, some small progress was made. Members on the pre September 2011 list can now request via Delia for the number and dates of actual sleepovers undertaken over the period 2005 to 2011. There is still dispute over whether the 100% of minimum wage for Sleepovers going forward kicks in from December 2012 or 12 July 2013. Watch this space.
