MAF VA Proposal 16 March

MAF VA Proposal for Set Base Salary Model and Performance Enhancement Programme

Prior to the 22 February Christchurch Earthquake Nadine Thurlow (Senior Organiser) and Martin Cooney (Secretary) had been providing feedback on the various draft proposals relating to the MAF Verification Agency Set Base Salary Model and the related Performance Enhancement Programme (PEP). Members have also been engaged in this process through a series of meetings and feedback loops.

The Project Team for the Set Base Salary Model and Performance Enhancement Programme have now concluded their feedback process and will release the Final Proposal to NUPE on Wednesday 16 March 2011 as part of formal consultation process.

Acknowledging the current political and industrial pressures within and outside of MAF VA, NUPE members will be asked to consider the Set Base Salary Model and Performance Enhancement Programme as part of a proposal for inclusion into the NUPE Collective Employment Agreement as a variation (subject to members approval) prior to the expiry of the Collective Employment Agreement on 30 June 2011.

A briefing meeting about the Set Base Salary Model and Performance Enhancement Programme Proposal and variation process will be held late March with MAF VA and NUPE officials and will be followed by a delegates meeting early April to agree a process for feedback to members and ratification. Relevant information regarding the proposal and timeframes will be communicated to members in early April immediately after the delegates meeting.
